Bar & Restaurant
A Pub With History
Named after John Edward Prestwich Howey — the visionary founder of the famous Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway — The Howey sits proudly opposite that very railway station, right in the heart of New Romney.
Under new management since October 2025, we’re proud to offer a lively, welcoming space for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re after a hearty meal, a cold pint, or a lively evening with friends, there’s always something happening here.
We source our ingredients locally and love being part of the New Romney community — it’s not just a pub, it’s a place to make memories.
“More than just a restaurant — it’s a place to make memories and feel part of the community.”— The Howey Team
